DiffXL

DiffXL is an approach to quantify the risks associated with changes made to spreadsheets. The methodology focuses on structural differences between worksheet ranges and permits any worksheet change to be categorized into a risk metric.

For example, the methodology can differentiate between a column of data that has been sorted and one that has been changed, or the difference between a range of formulae that has been extended and one that has been created from scratch.

DiffXL was pioneered by ExcelForManagers. It is the core tool in our flagship product, Auditors Assistant, and is often used in conjunction with other established analysis methods in our risk assessments.
