Sarbanes Oxley Act 2002

Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 states the legal requirement for a management assessment of all internal reporting controls  to be included with the annual report of every US publicly traded company.

The act has lead to a wide ranging review of corporate reporting, even outside the US.

We are fully conversant with the accepted requirements made by the provision of SOX, and consider ourselves privileged  to have designed and implemented the financial disclosure reports used by the CFO and CEO of a multi-billion dollar company to meet with the requirements of the act.

Within our specialist area of Excel workbooks & systems the five most common areas of potential issue that we find (in order of occurrence) are …

1) Lack of Separation of Inputs, Calculations & Outputs.

2) Incorrect / Inconsistent Calculations.

3) Lack of Simple Security Procedures.

4) Inadequate or Non-Existent Documentation.

5) No Change Log / Version Control.

We offer a variety of SOX compliance services from single workbook evaluation through to complete EUC reporting system redesign.
